Chamber Leadership in Transition

After providing stellar leadership to the Chamber for 15 years, Norma Dunwody will be leaving her post as President/CEO effective June 30, 2008.  During her tenure, she has increased membership from 200 to 600 and has made the Chamber one of the most respected and successful Chambers in the state.

On March 24, 2008, Jim Charapich joined the Chamber team as incoming President/CEO.  Jim brings a good deal of management, sales/marketing and business experience to the position.

Please be sure to thank Norma for her service and welcome Jim to the Chamber family.

Speaker's Bureau

The Chamber maintains a list of speakers and presentation topics that is used by clubs, organizations, schools and businesses when a speaker is needed. If you have a special area of interest or expertise and are willing to speak about it, or if your organization is looking for a speaker, please call the Chamber office at (540) 825-8628.

First Davies Scholarship Awarded

The $1,000 John J. "Butch" Davies scholarship was awarded to Rochelle Watson. Rochelle is pursuing a specialization in K-8 education degree. She is in her final semester at Germanna and plans to transfer to the University of Southern Florida.
